Steps To Take...

Following these steps can help you remain calm and collected after an accident:

• Move vehicles away from traffic if it is legal and safe to do so.
• Turn off vehicles. 
• If people have been injured, call 911.
• If items are on road that could potentially harm more property and/or persons, move them if it is safe and legal to do so. 
• What are the names of the people who were inside the vehicles at time of accident?
• Where were they seated during accident?
• What, if any, injures were sustained?
• List the witnesses' names.
• Which direction were the vehicles traveling?
• Which road lanes were occupied?
• What is today's date?
• What time did the accident occur?
• What was the weather like at time of accident?
• Don’t incriminate yourself by speaking about whose fault the accident was, even if you know it was your fault. Do not talk about the accident except to police officers.
• Ask for insurance information from the other parties involved and give them your info. 
• Let your insurance company know about the accident right away.

FAQ's
10 Questions to Answer before Car Repair
It is estimated that vehicles are the #2 investment people make.  When your vehicle needs repair, bring it to Colorize Collision to protect its value and ensure its safety.

1. Is this vehicle safe to drive to Colorize Collision?  If the answer is "no", contact us and we will happily have it towed to one of our locations.
2. Where do I want my vehicle to be inspected by my insurance company?  Know that prior to your car repairs, visiting a drive-in claims center may be asked of you by your insurance company.  Another option is to drop your vehicle off at one of our locations and we will arrange for the insurance company to inspect your vehicle there.  
3. Does law require me to get more than one estimate/appraisal on my vehicle?  The answer is "no".  Likewise, there is no law limiting the number of estimates you can attain; that's your prerogative!
4. Can my insurance company make me take my vehicle to a specific car collision repair store?  The answer is "no".  Be aware that there will most likely be a recommendation made by your insurance company regarding a repair center with a good reputation.
5. What should I look out for when reading estimates?  It is not uncommon for estimates to vary widely regarding cost.  Estimates on the more inexpensive end most likely indicate that some essential work was not included.  If you feel uncomfortable or confused by any estimate, speak with an associate; that is your right!
6. Choose a repair center that has unibody repair equipment and certified (by I-CAR or ASE for example) technicians. All Colorize Collision Center locations are I-CAR Gold Class centers and all of our technicians have continuing I-CAR and ASE training to ensure that they are skilled in the latest repair process and equipment. (not sure if this is applicable)
7. Has this repair center invested in advanced equipment and technology and does it employ trained and certified technicians?  
8. Does this repair center offer a warranty?  The answer should be "yes".
